To pass the Foundation Programme examination, you need to achieve a minimum of 40% marks in each subject and 50% marks in total for all subjects combined in a single attempt. If you've scored 60% or higher in any subject but failed, you still have a chance. In the next three exams, if you get at least 40% in each remaining subject and 50% in total, you'll pass.
If you've scored 60% or more in any paper and at least 25% in each remaining paper of a module but still didn't pass, you might be exempted from retaking those papers. You can cancel this exemption if you prefer. If you've failed only one paper in a module but got at least 60% overall in the remaining papers, you can pass by getting 50% in that failed paper in a later attempt.
Similar to the Executive Programme, if you've scored 60% or more in any paper and at least 25% in each remaining paper of a module but didn't pass in Professional Programme Examination, you might be exempted from retaking those papers. This exemption can be canceled if you choose. If you've failed only one paper in a module but got at least 60% overall in the other papers, passing is possible by scoring 50% in that previously failed paper in a subsequent exam.
If you got 60% or higher and got exempted from a paper, those marks don't count when they're checking your score for the other papers in future exams.
These are the essential passing criteria for CS Examinations, helping you understand the marks needed to succeed.
