CS Professional is the last step to becoming a company secretary. It is a 15-month course upon finishing CS Executive. CS Professional subjects include Governance, Risk Management, compliance and Ethics, Advanced Tax laws, Drafting, Pleadings and Appearances, etc.
CS Professional has three modules, i.e., module 1, module 2, and module 3, with a total of 9 papers. All the modules need to be passed by a student individually or collectively in order to complete this level. CS Professional exams are conducted twice a year, once in June and once in December.
The fee for the CS Professional course is INR 3,600. Additionally, the CS Professional Exam Pattern includes a total of 9 subjects with 100 marks each. The time for each subject is 3 hours.

Eligibility Criteria for CS Professional Syllabus 2025
The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) offers a CS course that culminates in the Company Secretary (CS) Professional Program. Candidates must meet certain eligibility requirements to be considered for enrollment in the CS Professional Program for 2025. A candidate who wishes to register for the CS Professional examination should fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
- Candidate should be 17 years or older
- She/he should have cleared class 12th in any subject except fine arts from a recognized board or university
- He/she should have passed CS Executive examination (both modules) conducted by The Institute of Company Secretaries of India
- Postgraduates and graduates who have also passed CS Executive (both modules) conducted by The Institute of Company Secretaries of India.

To change from the old to the new syllabus for the ICSI CS Professional examination, simply follow these steps:
